School Counselor Advocate of the Year: Danny Morrison, Warsaw HS
Mr. Tyler Richardson, our WHS counselor, nominated Mr. Danny Morrison for this award. Here are his comments about Mr. Morrison:
Mr. Morrison was selected as Administrator of the year for CMSCA a few years ago, but this year I want to request he be recognized as Counselor Advocate this year. Danny has been a driving force in getting a RootEd advisor for our building. I was hoping for a part time person, and he said, “NO we need a full-time person.” He advocated for this hard with the Superintendent and board of education. Another way he has advocated for the counseling program, is getting Katy Trail health care providers in our school with a ¾ time mental health professional at our building. He understands the ever-changing needs of school counseling and works closely with me to make our school and our program stronger.
Congratulations to Mr. Danny Morrison for being selected as the School Counselor Advocate of the Year for the 2022-2023 school year!
