The Warsaw R-IX School District is pleased to announce new faculty joining the Wildcat team for the 2024 - 2025 school year.

Andy Bradshaw

JBMS | English Teacher

Mr. Bradshaw comes to us from Denver, Colorado and will begin his 16th year of teaching at Warsaw. His hobbies include basketball, working out, and cheering on the Denver Nuggets. He also enjoys hiking, fishing, kayaking, and spending time with his two cats, Jackson and Esthie.

Mr. Bradshaw shared, "I am excited to begin teaching in Warsaw! I am also thankful to live in such a beautiful town and join its close-knit community that has already made me feel welcome! I look forward to bringing my experience, passion and enthusiasm for education to this new chapter of my career and life in Missouri! "

Sarah Carr

Elementary & JBMS | Music Teacher

Ms. Carr is originally from Gladstone, Missouri and attended the University of Central Missouri (UCM). She served in the United States Navy until an injury ended her service. She spent her summers visiting Warsaw as a kid, and decided to make it her permanent home after her service in the Navy. She is a proud mom to a 6 year old son that will be starting first grade in the district this year. 

Ms. Carr shares, "I have a passion for music and kids, so I am very excited to watch these kids grow as we move through this new change together!"

Trish Cunnea

North Elementary | 4th Grade Teacher

Ms. Cunnea has served over 15 years in education, including time in both Michigan & Colorado. She is a proud mother to two grown sons, including one that lives in Michigan and one that is serving in the U.S. Army. She is also a proud dog mom to three pups; Ella, Otis and Gus.   

Ms. Cunnea shares, “I am excited to join the Wildcat Family this school year.  When I interviewed with Ms. Ward, I could feel that North Elementary was going to be the perfect place for me.  Stepping into a 4th grade classroom will provide me with the chance to get back to my elementary roots and allow me to grow as an educator.”

Jack Dulle

North Elementary | PE Teacher

He will also join the district as an Assistant H.S. Football Coach, & Assistant H.S. Boys Basketball Coach. 

Coach Dulle recently graduated from the University of Central Missouri and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. During his 4 years in college, he coached football and basketball at Crest Ridge High School.

Coach Dulle shares, “I am extremely excited to be at Warsaw because this is a new opportunity for me. An opportunity to make a lasting impact on my students and athletes in the Warsaw School district. I have heard from a lot of people that Warsaw is a special place and I am very eager to learn more about the community and be a part of something special.”

Brooklyn Heatherington 

High School | History Teacher

Ms. Hetherington is no stranger to the Wildcat Family. She graduated from Warsaw and has served as a paraprofessional for the last 4 years. She is the proud mom to her son (Thatcher) and daughter (Sawyer), who both attend elementary within the district. She is also a proud dog mom to Sargent, a Great Dane. Her hobbies include reading and watching or listening to crime documentaries.

Ms. Hetherington shares, "I am excited to teach freshman American History this year and share my love for all things history. I have been told that I am full of random knowledge and I’m excited to share that with my students."

Madison Lane

North Elementary | 1st Grade Teacher

Ms. Lane graduated from Warsaw and recently found her passion for teaching while working as a paraprofessional at North Elementary. She enjoys spending time with family and her cat Ty-Ty. She also loves playing volleyball, spending time outside, and reading a good book.

Ms. Lane shares, “I am proud to be a Wildcat and cannot wait to create fun and lasting memories with my students!.”

Kathy Long

JBMS | Special Education Teacher

Mrs. Long has lived in the Warsaw area for over 26 years. Together, her and her husband have six kids, including one 5th grader and one senior that attend school within the district. Backpacking, kayaking, sewing, reading and learning are among her favorite hobbies. She is also a proud member of the Kaysinger Bluff Pioneer Heritage Association (KBPHA).

Mrs. Long shares, “I am excited to create relationships with the kids and teach them to become productive people.”


Lauren Sons

South Elementary | Counselor

Mrs. Sons obtained her bachelor's degree in Special Education from Missouri State University, and is currently working to complete her master's degree in Social Work and Counseling with an emphasis in school based services. Her hobbies include crafting, house projects, baking, traveling and being outdoors (especially anything with water such as kayaking, paddle boarding, & swimming).

Mrs. Sons shares, “I love that Warsaw is a smaller school district than my previous schools, I think the more connected the community is to the schools the more successful kids are! This is my first year as a school counselor, and I am SO excited to be back in a school building.”

Lainy Williams

JBMS | PE Teacher

Ms. Williams graduated from Southwest Baptist University with her degree in elementary education and educational administration, where she also ran cross country and track for five years. Her hobbies include running, playing games, hunting, fishing, watching the Chiefs, and spending time with her family. 

Ms. Williams shares, "I have grown up visiting the Warsaw area often, so I am excited to begin working in the area!"

Catherine Wyse

High School | Special Education Teacher

Ms. Wyse graduated from Orrick High School as salutatorian and graduated from Missouri Western State University with a Bachelors of Science in Special Education (K-12). She is a proud mother to a 5-month-old little boy. They recently moved to the Warsaw area to be closer to family.

Ms. Wyse shares, “I chose Special Education because of a family member who was on the spectrum and I have just always had a special connection with him. I am excited for this opportunity and getting to know and serve this community!”
