Effective tomorrow, 2/20, and continuing indefinitely, please note the following bus pickup time adjustments:
👉🏼Bus U & Bus X – Pickup times have been pushed back 10 minutes.
👉🏼Bus Y – Pickup time has been pushed back 5 minutes.

South Elementary third graders recently researched a famous Missourian and brought history to life!

Each student dressed as their chosen Missourian and presented their research to the class. We had doctors, actresses, activists, entertainers, and athletes represented — and every student did an outstanding job sharing what they learned.

We are so proud of their hard work, creativity, and confidence! 👏🐾

Please help us thank our amazing transportation team! 🚌💚 From navigating snow-covered roads to adjusting routes as needed, they go above and beyond to keep student safety the top priority. We appreciate you! 👏

After driving our side roads after the temps started to drop and seeing the refreezing on some of those roads, Warsaw R-IX will not be in session tomorrow, Jan. 28th. This will be AMI DAY #3. We hope to not use snow routes on Thursday, but please review them in case.

Due to secondary and gravel road conditions, Warsaw R-IX is cancelling school for Tues, Jan. 27th. This will be AMI DAY #2.

🔬 STEM in Action at South Elementary! 🌉

South Elementary 5th grade students in Mrs. Harris’ class recently participated in an exciting STEM challenge. Students were tasked with designing and building a bridge that spanned 30 cm. After studying various bridge designs, they got to work following specific steps and guidelines.

Once completed, the bridges were put to the test! The bridge with the best strength-to-weight ratio was declared the winner. The winning bridge achieved an impressive ratio of 60.35—what a bridge!

Through this challenge, students learned that using more materials doesn’t always lead to a stronger structure and can actually reduce performance by increasing weight. Great teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking, Wildcats! 👏
