Warsaw South Elementary School

Last week, Mrs. Redd's first grade class joined the 20 million students worldwide that participated in this year's Great Kindness Challenge! Students were encouraged to complete kind acts and keep track of their kindness on a checklist. These activities included decorating bookmarks to be handed out in the library, greeting friends in the morning, thanking school staff members and administrators, posting "kindness matters" signs, and even eating a healthy snack to nourish their own bodies. Buses will run normal routes tomorrow, 1/22, unless you have been contacted by the bus barn.

We are happy to share that only Route X will run snow routes tomorrow, 1/21. We’re aware of the forecasted temperatures and are taking appropriate measures to ensure student safety, including starting buses early & having backup buses available. Please dress students warmly and prepare them for the cold weather.

South Elementary students in Mrs. Henderson's Pre-K class enjoyed finally getting outside for recess today! There was still a bit of snow on the playground they were able to enjoy, plus a good ole' roll down the hill! Who remembers doing that as a kid?! 🌤❄ #WildcatExcellence

We were hopeful today's sun would allow us to get back to normal bus routes, but unfortunately a few are still unsafe for buses. This year marks 30 years for the Warsaw Wildcat Wrestling Program. To celebrate, the team would like to invite all wrestling fans & alumni to the Inaugural Hall of Honor Induction Ceremony that will take place during the home wrestling tournament this Saturday, 1/18, between 12:30 - 1:30pm. Former Coach John Dunham & former wrestler David Lemon will be the first to be inducted.
