Big congratulations to our WHS students who recently earned their Safe Foods certifications! 👏🍽️ Several students received their ServSafe Food Handlers Certification, which means they have successfully completed food safety training and are qualified to work in food service. That’s a huge step toward careers in restaurants, catering, hospitality, and beyond! We also had two students earn their ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification — an advanced certification that verifies they’ve already completed Food Handlers training and are prepared to be responsible for food safety decisions within an establishment. South Elementary third graders recently researched a famous Missourian and brought history to life!

Each student dressed as their chosen Missourian and presented their research to the class. We had doctors, actresses, activists, entertainers, and athletes represented — and every student did an outstanding job sharing what they learned.

Our WHS Textiles/Apparel class is busy creating and learning hands-on sewing skills — and we’re looking for a little help from our amazing community!

We are currently accepting new or GENTLY used (clean) fabric, especially fat quarters and larger pieces, for upcoming student projects.

We can also use:

✂️ Hand and machine sewing tools

If you have items you’d be willing to donate, we would greatly appreciate your support! Your generosity helps give our students the materials they need to create, design, and build valuable skills.

Even with the holiday and ACT affecting attendance, the WHS Math Team delivered an outstanding performance at the Cole Camp Math Contest that was held Saturday, 2/14.
