
A reminder school is in session Monday, March 25. Easter break is March 28-April 2. Students and staff return April 3. Elementary spring pictures are at South on April 3 and North on April 4.


IF PASSED ON APRIL 2ND, PROPOSITION KIDS WOULD ALLOW THE DISTRICT TO CONSTRUCT A 5TH GRADE WING AT JBMS TO BECOME A STORM SHELTER FOR THE WHS/JBMS CAMPUS, WITHOUT AN INCREASE TO THE OVERALL TAX RATE.


Mrs. Deckard and Mr. Gemes got the opportunity to advocate for public education with representatives and senators last week! They also got the opportunity to talk with Karla Eslinger, the incoming commissioner of education and view students' artwork at the capital.





The MS/HS Track meet at Versailles on 3/18 has been cancelled. This meet will not be made up.

Law Enforcement have informed us that the situation with the threat has been completely resolved. Thank you to Benton County Sheriff Dept and Highway Patrol for their hard work to keep us safe!

After discussion with law enforcement and SROs, we have lifted the lockdown at HS/JBMS campus. We will have a SRO for on-campus practices as an extra precaution. Practices will go on as scheduled.

We are working with law enforcement to give an all clear for the HS/JBMS campus. All off-campus practices will continue as planned. We will make a decision on on-campus practices by 2:30pm.

We have Highway Patrol on site. CTC students have left for Sedalia. Our staff is taking an early lunch. We are waiting on an all clear on the threat situation.

All staff and students are safe. Benton County Sheriff Department as informed us of a threat on our WHS/JBMS Campus. We have teachers on campus for professional development. Our high school and middle school campus has been put on lockdown. We will update as soon as possible.

Warsaw Wildbots, robotics team, is competing at Smith Cotton today, March 8th, and tomorrow, March 9th. They won their first match of the day. Awesome job! #WildcatPride

An informational meeting for the community will be held Monday, March 11 at 6:00pm in the WHS gym. Information will be provided about the no tax rate increase bond issue to keep improving the district schools (Prop KIDS). Please join us!


REMINDER: Warsaw R-IX School District will hold preschool screenings for next school year March 19-21 at the United Methodist Church in Warsaw. Students must be 4 years old by August 1st. Please call South Elementary to schedule a screening time or with any questions. 660-438-5965


Hope5One is bringing awareness with the Be Alert and Stop Trafficking Project. There is an adult education night tomorrow, 3/6 at 6pm at Warsaw High School. There will be an assembly for students held Thursday, 3/7 for grades 7-12. If you do not want your child to participate please call the office before March 7.
